Misdiagnosed Heart Attacks – Military Medical Malpractice
Not Reading the Signs and Symptoms Correctly
Military doctors and other medical personnel are trained to identify the signs of cardiovascular disease – patients complaining about chest pain, pain radiating from the arm, a quickened pulse, and shortness of breath among other signs and symptoms. Unfortunately, doctors at times fail to notice these signs. Sometimes military personnel never see a doctor but are assessed by a physician’s assistant (PA) and sent home improperly diagnosed.
A Note about Women
It is sad to note that for women, heart disease often goes undiagnosed. Even more disturbing is the fact that for generations, women have been under diagnosed and under treated. Numbers of our clients are women and the families of women who have had misdiagnosed or undiagnosed with cardiac conditions.
